As
part of our ongoing "Getting to Know Your Local Businesses" series,
this week we sat down with Dr. Adam DiVincenzo, owner of Kingwood
Perfect Smiles.
Tell us a bit about your business: What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?
Accepting
new patients, we are a new general and cosmetic dentistry office that
opened in Kingwood in July 2018. I’ve been a Kingwood resident for the
past four years and I wanted to open a non-corporate style office for
the community where one gets more personalized attention.
We offer complete general dentistry services, including cleaning and
exams, periodontal treatments, dental sealants, tooth extractions, oral
cancer screenings, root canal therapy, TMJ/TMD treatments, sedation
dentistry and emergency dental care and more. For cosmetic dentistry, we
offer dental implant crown restorations, dentures and partials, dental
bonding, crowns and bridges, dental veneers, teeth whitening, gum
contouring and invisible braces.
Serving children to seniors, we believe in an all-encompassing dental
care philosophy that incorporates health, function, and esthetics. We
want you to leave our dental office with a happy, healthy, beautiful
smile.
How did you decide to get involved in this line of work?
Born
and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I earned my bachelor’s degree
in biology and business administration from Muhlenberg College in
Allentown, PA. While participating in a semester externship offered by
the school, I discovered my love for dentistry and immediately enrolled
in Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and then earned my
Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD).
Before going to dental school, I
was awarded the health professions scholarship by the U.S. Navy. I
served four years as a general dentist stationed with the Marines at
Camp Lejeune, NC, gaining invaluable experience working alongside highly
knowledgeable dentists and specialists. Later, I was deployed overseas
for 9 months aboard the USS Kearsarge as the solo dentist for a unit of
2400 marines.
A member of the American Dental Association (ADA), I
understand how the field of dentistry is constantly changing, especially
with my experiences practicing dentistry both at home and overseas.
Tell us a couple things you are proud of about your business. What are you known for? What separates you from the competition?
I
am most proud of our welcoming new office and how we offer the most
up-to-date equipment to our patients. Anyone who has seen me as a
dentist knows that I am dedicated to providing complete, minimally
invasive dentistry that is customized to fit each patient’s unique
smile.
What is your favorite part of running this business?
I
love forming long-lasting relationships with my patients and serving my
community. I consider my patients as part of my family and only offer
compassionate, gentle care to each family member.
Who is your ideal customer/client? Who do you serve best? My ideal client is anyone who wants the best in what dentistry has to offer and who wants a healthy and beautiful smile.
Is there any other information you'd like your potential customers/clients to know about your business?

How do you see your business growing and improving over the next couple of years? We
will continue to advance oral health one smile at a time. I have plans
