Tell us a bit about your business: What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?
We are a 501(c)3 organization and our sole purpose is to empower of women through personal and professional development. WISE is also focused on giving back to local charity organizations in our community. We select one charity of choice each year and the net proceeds of the conference goes to that charity. This year’s Charity of Choice is Family Promise of Montgomery County.

How did you decide to get involved in this line of work? How did the business get started?
The conference was started 14 years ago. It was an idea of Kiki Koymarianos, Malisa Floyd, and Carol Gooch. They wanted to provide a great conference to local area business women and use it to give back to the community.

Tell us a few things you are proud of about your business. What are you known for? What separates you from the competition?
We are proud of how many scholarships we have given out to local business women (we give out three $1,500 scholarships every year and the amount we’ve been able to raise for local non profits.

What is your favorite part of running this business?
My personal favorite part is giving back to the non-profits. I have a passion for working with non profits and that
is the reason I, personally, became involved with the conference five years ago. This is my fourth year on the
committee, second year on the Board, and third year as the Conference Coordinator.

Who is your ideal customer/client? Who do you serve best?
We serve non profits and local business women.

Can you tell us something about yourself as the business owner? What is your background?
We are a group of local business women who have come together to provide a great conference to over 350
local business women and to serve the non profits in the area.

Are there any special promotions, annual sales, or special events that you'd like to mention?
No, just the conference in September

Is there any other information you'd like your potential customers/clients to know about your
business?

We want to remind people that when you sponsor or attend the conference, you are directly giving back to a local non profit since our proceeds go to them. No one on the committee or the board makes any money. (We even pay for our own tickets!)

How do you see your business growing and improving over the next couple of years?
We hope to grow this conference to 500 women and be able to give our more scholarships to local business
women and more money to our charity of choice.
