Same thing with us, Lennar blamed the mortgage company etc.. It was quite a circus for a while but finally got it done.

We built with Lennar too. We are using their lender and it is going well so far. Hope to close by the end of next month. Any reliable reviews on Keefer Crossing Middle School?

We rode our bicycles through Tavola this past weekend. There've been lots of changes in the six months since we last biked there -- new streets, plenty of new houses, and lots of new residents judging from the number of cars parked out front. We only saw two residents -- two ladies taking the dog out for a Sunday morning stroll.

We snooped into one new house under construction. The dining room had a nice bay window, but all you could see out that window was the neighboring house about 5 feet away. Too close, IMO.

@otto Agreed on the proximity of some of the houses. That's why we chose a larger premium lot on cul de sac where the neighbors house isn't staring at us when we look out of the window.

I am looking to open a business in the front of Roman Forest. Please share your thoughts about having an upscale home decor and gift shop there. The store would have a beautiful Italian exterior and offer home decor and gifts for most every taste. I will also offer gelato (an Italian ice cream). I live in Roman Forest and would definately want the business to be an asset tor Roman Forest and Tavola residents. It seems as every time I need a gift or would like to just look at things for my home, I need to travel into Kingwood or Humble. I welcome your thoughts and concerns.

Any idea what the water bills are like? We are moving from Kingwood where the City of Houston treats their water like it was liquid gold.

We just got our $65 water bill but that included the $40 hook up fee. It was only for half a month or so though so I would expect $40.

That's a little better than we're getting down the road in RF. Water and garbage are separate with water running about $60 and trash pickup $67/quarter.
