As part of our ongoing "Getting to Know Your Local Businesses"
series, this week we sat down with Dr. Adam DiVincenzo, owner of
Kingwood Perfect Smiles.
Tell us a bit about your business: What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?
Our general and cosmetic family dentistry office, located in Kingwood, has been open since July 2018, and we have
really enjoyed getting to know our new patients and taking care of
their dental needs over the past three years. I've been a Kingwood
resident for the past four years and I wanted to open a non-corporate
style office for the community where the entire family can be treated
with more personalized attention.
We offer complete general
dentistry services, including cleaning and exams, periodontal
treatments, dental sealants, tooth extractions, oral cancer screenings,
root canal therapy, TMJ/TMD treatments, sedation dentistry and emergency
dental care and more. For cosmetic dentistry, we offer dental implant
crown restorations, dentures and partials, dental bonding, crowns and
bridges, dental veneers, teeth whitening, gum contouring and gum surgery
for gum disease.
Our office is accepting new
patients, serving everyone from children to seniors. We believe in an
all-encompassing dental care philosophy that incorporates health,
function, and esthetics. We want you to leave our dental office with a
happy, healthy, beautiful smile.
How did you decide to get involved in this line of work?
Born
and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I earned my bachelor's degree
in biology and business administration from Muhlenberg College in
Allentown, PA. While participating in a semester externship offered by
the school, I discovered my love for dentistry and immediately enrolled
in Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and then earned my
Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD).
Before going to
dental school, I was awarded the health professions scholarship by the
U.S. Navy. I served four years as a general dentist stationed with the
Marines at Camp Lejeune, NC, gaining invaluable experience working
alongside highly knowledgeable dentists and specialists. Later, I was
deployed overseas for 9 months aboard the USS Kearsarge as the solo
dentist for a unit of 2400 marines.
A member of the American
Dental Association (ADA), I understand how the field of dentistry is
constantly changing, especially with my experiences practicing dentistry
both at home and overseas.
Tell us a couple things you are proud of about your business. What are you known for? What separates you from the competition?
I
am most proud of our welcoming office and staff that strives to make
you as comfortable as possible, using the most up-to-date equipment.
Anyone who has seen me as a dentist knows that I am dedicated to
providing complete, minimally invasive dentistry that is customized to
fit each patient's unique smile.
In addition, we now have an
in-house Oral Surgeon that does wisdom teeth extractions and places
implants as well and an Endodontist that does root canals and a
Periodontist that does gum related surgery for cosmetic and gum disease
purposes, as well as places implants. We are extremely pleased to be
able to offer these services right here in our office, as it provides a
level of convenience for our patients, as well as helps deliver a
comprehensive treatment plan.
What is your favorite part of running this business?
I
love forming long-lasting relationships with my patients and serving my
community. I consider my patients as part of my family and only offer
compassionate, gentle care to each family member.
Who is your ideal customer/client? Who do you serve best?
My
ideal client is anyone who wants the best in what dentistry has to
offer and who wants a healthy and beautiful smile. We treat the entire
family, from children to teens, to parents and seniors.
Is there any other information you'd like your potential customers/clients to know about your business?
We are an in-network provider and we work with all major insurance plans.
For
those who do not have insurance, we offer our own in-office membership
club, Kingwood Perfect Smiles Club. Our annual membership options
include professional dental cleanings and 20% off any treatments.
In
addition to the membership club, we offer financing options through
CareCredit. We also offer ongoing promotions on our website.
How do you see your business growing and improving over the next couple of years?
We
will continue to advance oral health one smile at a time. I have plans
to remain a family-focused dental office here in Kingwood until I
retire.
