As part of our ongoing "Getting to Know Your Local Businesses" series, this week we sat down with Dr. S. Cherlo of Prime Medic Urgent Care & Family Clinic.

Tell us a bit about your business: What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?
We have multiple locations: Cleveland, Texas and Kingwood, Texas. This is a medical practice that offers family care 7 days a week with Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine. Appointments are not required, and we can treat any condition except life threatening conditions.

How did you decide to get involved in this line of work? How did the business get started?
As an Internal Physician I was interested in providing individuals & Employers an attractive, efficient, economical, alternative to ERs.

Tell us a couple things you are proud of about your business. What are you known for? What separates you from the competition?
We're proud of competent care we provide for our patients. Most of our Cleveland patients have been with us for 17 years. We're also proud of the services we can provide for Employers to reduce their cost.

What is your favorite part of running this business?
My favorite part of running this business is helping patients achieve and encourage their healthiest life.

Who is your ideal customer/client? Who do you serve best?
Our ideal customers/clients are patients who want to maintain a healthy life style. We want to help them reach their goals.

Are there any special promotions, annual sales, or special events that you'd like to mention?
Our Special Promotions is our Grand Opening Special: Basic lab work, visit and X ray, if needed, for 100.00. Which will be placed toward the patient's deductible as well.

Is there any other information you'd like your potential customers/clients to know about your business?
In addition to providing great medical care, we can provide all the Occupational Medical Services any Employer may need: EX Drug testing, OSHA compliance, Injury Treatments with follow-up.

How do you see your business growing and improving over the next couple of years?
We see our business growing and improving, due to health care changing rapidly; regardless of the changes, we will be here to provide great service's at affordable prices.
