@garfieldgurl : I honestly rarely shop in Humble anymore because I don't feel safe. I know crime can happen anywhere, but I tend to go toward Valley Ranch now for a lot of things I used to go to Humble for.

@DebD : They do have insurance but they build that and loss % into costs. The insurance plans vary so much across the board but in the end, we are paying for it

@Bloom : We go to Humble for Costco and Target (mainly Costco), and sometimes Marshalls, Best Buy and World Market. I've never had an issue but knocking on wood that it stays that way.

@Sweetie : I remember a retail job 15 years ago where we couldn't stop or do anything about it but we still confronted them and tried to prevent it because when we did inventory we would send reports over on loss. Our insurance just kept sky rocketing and we would have to sell X% more and charge X% more to make up costs of that plus some costs you don't get back
