Happy Hump Day!
Hope everyone's week is going well. DD and I made progress yesterday on getting some issues resolved on DH'S medical care. We got the case manager involved, and it's amazing how quickly things got turned around. It's unreal how difficult it's been to deal with the Infectious Disease doc's office. But the case manager was able to get the doctor on the phone and solved the problem. Lesson learned! We have an appointment with PCP today. I'm thankful that DD is able to go with us. She's still Daddy's girl and is such a huge help right now.

@Bloom : Sounds like you're finally making progress. Congrats. Trying to navigate the medical morass can be really frustrating.

@otto : My DD got so frustrated dealing with one office. This is the doc who prescribed the antibiotic IV meds. He entered the order on the day they originally planned dismissal. He didn't show it for a certain number of days, but to go through a certain day. Dismissal was delayed till 5 days later, but the prescription wasn't changed. So we ended up with meds for 5 days and were supposed to manage an office visit in order to get a refill. The scheduling person would not make an appointment without a referral, even though our insurance does not require referrals and the doctor had treated DH in the hospital for 11 days. So frustrating! I slept better last night knowing all that was resolved. At I think it is...

@Bloom :
These challenges are frustrating. I noticed you have to keep following up on the slightest detail to see that things get done promptly. It can be overwhelming. People don't always do their job. It is a constant battle unfortunately. Your case manager can be your best friend. And they can even be challenging at times. 🙏
