I do remember Katrina! I was working for Humble ISD, and we had a LOT of families relocate here. Some never left, because they had nothing to go back to.

21 years and they still have not recovered sadly. I believe there are still approximately 100,000 less residents today than pre-Katrina.

@Bloom : Yes...totally devastating storm. Worst ever for NOLA.

Crazy event that changed my life indirectly a lot. My brother and a close friend went to go work there after, and in time, they pulled me into their industry and work.I did a little to help them then, but did a lot more later
