Monday's lunch
I went down to the hospital cafeteria and toured the salad bar. Now to enjoy! First full meal I've had in a couple of days.

@DixieDee :
It was so good! I went there yesterday for lunch, but with it being Sunday, offerings were minimal. I got some mashed potatoes and roasted squash. I'm sick of crackers and PNB that I brought from home.

@Cbear : Lots going on - his portal shows hole in colon, sepsis. Moderately malnouriushed, and swollen kidney. He's better, but he's been pretty sick. Looks like we'll go home soon, but details have to come together. He'll keep the drains and have IV antibiotics at home for 2 weeks. So we're looking at Home Health to over see that, plus the antibiotics have to be delivered. The culture report just came back, so now Infectious Disease doc has to choose what meds are needed. They need to insert a PICC line for the in-home IV. With all that and other appointments, September's calendar is full!

I'm glad you got to eat something. Take care of yourself, too!

whoa, living on the edge with the egg and lettuce. Nice looking salad and sounds like your husband is on the mend so hopefully that also helps make things a little calmer for you as well. Take care of yourself and continued thoughts/vibes/prayers for a continued quick recovery.

@Bloom : Your DH going home and being treated there is the best thing. My Dad did so much better at home than he did in the hospital, his daughters and home health took so much better care of him. I pray your DH continues to mend and feel better. Take care of yourself as well.

@DixieDee :
We really can't complain about the care, and the food is awesome for a hospital. But we will both get more peaceful rest at home.
