I've done some interviews over the the years. One of the most memorable was for the donut shop. When I told the young lady what the hours would be, she was speechless. She laughed and left. 🙃

I don't mind being up at 5 but I imagine it was a 4 AM start if not earlier for opening. Much respect for you as if I recall a past owner and everyone doing it.

We opened at 5AM, but had to start around 1AM to have product ready to open. The last few years before we sold the business, we had no hired help and closed at noon. It was really hard to get good help with the early hours.

@Cbear : Is that a "rule of thumb," or does your equipment include a thermometer that adjusts accordingly?

Funny! Today's job market is so complicated, for both applicants and those trying to hire. I'm so grateful that I'm no involved in that now. 🙃
