This is from an incident in DH's hometown, but it could happen anywhere in Texas right now.
RUSK, TEXAS - What began as an ordinary spring afternoon in Cherokee County quickly turned into a scene straight out of a reality television show after local resident Sara Williams was reportedly involved in a violent altercation that left her sporting a black eye, a busted lip, and a knot on her forehead large enough to qualify for its own ZIP code.
According to witnesses, the confrontation occurred sometime between surviving summer break, answering seventeen unnecessary text messages, looking for missing TV remotes, and wondering why nobody ever closes a kitchen cabinet.
Residents say they observed Williams engaged in what appeared to be an intense argument with another woman.
"It was heated," said one witness. "I've never seen two people go at it like that. At one point I thought somebody was fixing to call backup."
The unidentified woman reportedly showed no mercy.
Witnesses described her as aggressive, relentless, rude, and possessing absolutely no respect for personal space.
"Sara never stood a chance," said another resident. "The other woman was just too much."
As rumors spread throughout town, social media detectives immediately launched their own investigation.
Some residents believed the fight was over a parking space.
Others claimed it was family drama.
One local grandmother insisted it had something to do with somebody posting cryptic Facebook statuses.
Authorities spent several hours attempting to identify the mysterious suspect.
Meanwhile, Williams was transported for booking photographs where officials documented visible injuries and what appeared to be the expression of a woman who had simply reached her limit.
By evening, investigators finally released a statement.
After reviewing witness accounts, security footage, weather conditions, and several suspiciously angry Facebook posts, authorities determined that Sara Williams had not been fighting another woman at all.
The suspect known only as "Her" was eventually identified as a combination of 106-degree Texas heat, humidity thick enough to chew, and approximately seventeen thousand aggressive East Texas flies.
Officials say the heat repeatedly slapped her with sweat, while the flies conducted coordinated aerial attacks throughout the day.
The case has since been closed.
No charges will be filed.
The Texas heat and the flies remain at large and are considered extremely annoying.
