"We dumped 2.5" out of the rain gauge this morning. It was windy here, but no hail, no tornado, no damage.

"Weathergirl5 Sweetie : Same here. Have some small branches down due to the wind, but no real damage. And a good dump of rain for a while there. I heard on the radio that they had gusts of 100 mph in downtown! 😮

"Sweetie : Good morning! What a night! My family had all kinds of issues getting home from work, just to come home to no power. Luckily we have power & 2 empty rooms, so they're with us.
@Bloom : Oh no!!! I know that downtown got hit really hard. People were pulling over because they couldn't even see while driving. Oh, I hope the power comes on soon...."

@Dixi eDee : so you really won't believe this! When I was 16, I worked part-time in a small hospital in my hometown. There were vending machines in the lobby. Right beside the soda machine was a cigarette machine! I actually bought a few from it while working there. Hard to believe now that cigarettes were sold inside a hospital!..."

"Is everyone OK? Just wondering everyone's status. Any damage? Do you have power? Any problems last night? Our power blinked a few times, but we're ok. Power is out at my granddaughter's apartment and DD'S house, so they slept here. The only one going to work is DD. Son-in-law's workplace has damage, and he will attempt to work remotely.
