As part of our ongoing "Getting to Know Your Local Businesses"
series, we sat down this week with Teresa Barron, co-owner of Fountain
View Farm.
Tell us a bit about your business: What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?
We’re a brand new elegant venue with a touch of country romance, located in picturesque Splendora.
We
offer indoor/outdoor options for wedding ceremonies, receptions,
parties, or events with a charming pond and cascading fountains making
the perfect picture backdrop. Add in our other outrageous photo spots,
like our grand staircase and our outdoor chapel with seating, and your
special occasion will genuinely be “share-worthy” and unforgettable.
We’re anticipating our first wedding in September, and we can’t wait to share our place with our special couples!
How did you decide to get involved in this line of work?
Our
elegant buildings and property were inspired and built by my husband,
Wesley, and I and our long-time friends and co-owners TJ & Casey
Knox. Our families are well-known in the Splendora and New Caney areas
for our ability to independently establish successful businesses that
give back to these communities. We know our dreams of building Fountain
View Farm will serve our neighbors for years to come.
Couples in
our area have long been searching for an event hall to accommodate
weddings of all sizes, without having to drive an hour (or more) to the
next big city. When we first discovered this property with the
ideal-sized pond, we envisioned it with dreamy, flowing fountains that
would create a romantic backdrop for the most memorable bridal/wedding
scenery. This vision inspired our farm’s name!
Tell
us a couple of things that you are proud of in your business. What are
you known for? What separates you from the competition?
We
have an expansive ceremony and reception venue with plenty of room for
food, friends, and dancing for up to 300 of your favorite people. We
also have tables and chairs to seat all 300 of your guests.
We’re easy to find, located a mile barely off of Highway 59/I-69 on FM2090.
What is your favorite part of running this business?
My
daughter, Courtney, has been conducting our on-site appointment-based
tours and I love to tag along. We get so excited when we see our
visitors' facial expressions and excitement as they see our amenities
and property for the first time. It just never gets old.
Who is your ideal customer/client? Who do you serve best?
Our
ideal customer wants to host a memorable event in a thoughtfully
designed venue at a prime location in North Houston. Book a tour with us
to see our beautiful facility up close and in person. You'll see for
yourself that we can serve you best.
Is there any other information you'd like your potential customers/clients to know about your business? We are currently available for bridal and engagement photo sessions.
Our
clients love our flexible vendor policies, allowing them to book many
of their favorite wedding pros, or select from our curated list of

offer other off-season discounts in the future. We invite you to come
tour our beautiful venue on Saturday, August 29th during our
Open House event.
How do you see your business growing and improving over the next couple of years? We
will continue to grow our venue to meet our neighbor’s needs. We do
anticipate creating a "Something Borrowed Closet" for our guests to
access unique and special event decorations.
We’re passionate about meeting everyone’s expectations for every event we host.
