Gringo’s New Caney is now open and serving up the best in Tex-Mex food. The new restaurant is the 13th location for the Gringo’s corporation founded by Russell Ybarra. Located in New Caney near the Grand Parkway and 59 north in the Valley Ranch Development, the restaurant is a welcome sight to the area. A custom hand painted mural with 3D images greet guests along with all the dining expectations that the Gringo’s team is known for. A state-of-the-art kitchen, open concept dining and a full-service bar with plenty of seating is all a part of Gringo’s New Caney.

As part of the grand opening, Ybarra, and JJ Isbell of Texas TransEastern (TTE), joined forces to help bring awareness to Camp Hope and their mission to help veterans suffering from PTSD. TTE, a fuel transportation company, unveiled their newly wrapped tanker trailer that promotes Camp Hope. “We’ve wrapped one of our trucks for Camp Hope. Camp Hope is making a huge difference in veterans, and those who are struggling with PTSD. We just want to do our part to get the message out that there’s hope, there is hope at Camp Hope. And maybe if one person could see this truck going down the road and see the phone number and reach out to Camp Hope, then maybe we can save one life by doing one of these trucks,” said JJ Isbell of TTE. The wraps serve as rolling billboards with the purpose to help bring down the suicide rate among veterans. “Well I love our veterans, our veterans are everything to this country and anything we can do to help them after what they have done for us, serving our country. I think we just need to do it. Helping them through Camp Hope is a prime example,” said Ybarra.

Giving back to the community is a core value of Gringo’s. Isbell, who is a good friend of Ybarra, wrapped one of his many fuel trucks to help save lives and is offering his fleet for more Camp Hope wraps. Ybarra is pledging to sponsor two additional trucks on behalf of Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen & Jimmy Changas.

Camp Hope is in North Houston and provides veterans and their immediate family members healing, help and hope while benefiting from an intensive peer support and mentoring program for Post-Traumatic Stress. In addition to temporary housing, Camp Hope offers a 90+ day PTSD recovery program.
