Any WNBA fans here?
Can you tell me the meaning of the 5 squares displayed under the scores on TV? Sometimes all 5 are "lit" -- other times there are fewer. Doesn't matter which network is airing the game, they all show it. I thought maybe they were counting fouls. Nope. I'm sure it's something obvious, but I can't get my ancient brain around it. (I posed this question in my browser, got an answer, and it made absolutely no sense.) www.espn.com/video/c lip/_/id/49513684
Both teams are showing 4 squares at the start of this video.

Google told me that it's the number of remaining time outs. My son, who does a lot of HS coaching, is here visiting. I'll get his opinion once he wakes up.

I have a passive interest in the WNBA. I am from CT and went to UCONN. All UCONN grads are required to be women's basketball fans.
Sorry that I can't answer your question. Who was the poster between you and me?

@Bloom : Yup, that's what it was. Thanx. Not sure why it's important for the viewer to know how many time-outs are remaining. Weird. It'd make more sense to know the number of team fouls -- how close to the "bonus."
