Tropical storm Imelda 2019
Six years ago today, tropical storm Imelda dumped heavy rain in our area. My DD'S house was flooded. I have never felt so helpless. She was at home and went upstairs when the water started coming in the house. We live 4 blocks from her, but couldn't get to her because of the high water. I had just finished cancer treatment, so I was no help with the cleanup. They were blessed with church friends and co-workers that did help. I never realized how much damage just a few inches of flood water could do. And they did not have flood insurance! It took a couple of months to get their first floor redone, while they lived upstairs. Not a happy memory!
