Trader Joe's in Kingwood

MaileGirl : I can attest to that. The TJs here that are in Houston are not too far from each other. I don't know why they can't build a couple along 59/69 north. I'd be happy with a Fiesta closer too. The closest one to us is 30 mins driving.

Weathergirl5 : I was there today to get heavy cream and eggs and didn't bring a quarter (it was a last min decision to stop) and to avoid carrying 4 items, I bought one of their paper bags for 12 cents 😑

Yes, I heard about Sprouts too coming to Kingwood. YAY!! Another go-to of mine!

I'm happy Trader Joes and more so for Sprouts. We need some more of these. I'd love to see a Whole Foods in Kingwood or Valley Ranch, but I could see them not wanting to based on income/spending

EXACTLY!! Lots of room at Valley Ranch in New Caney. I told them in my request to open one off the 59/69, that Valley Ranch would be a great spot. The only grocery store is Krogers. Oh well, I'm happy with Kingwood, it's closer than The Woodlands.

I don't always use my shopping bags, but I try to always keep one big sturdy one in the car just in case I make an Aldi stop.

mcastiglia : there's a sprouts going into the old H-E-B building. It's just taken up part of that building.

Yeah that is another thing, Trader Joe's does not make you pay to use their shopping carts. Aldi is cheap, which is fine, but I don't even really like most of their imported products because if you read the labels they have the same crap American products have in it--palm oil is the number one I try to avoid. I will take real butter over palm oil any day!

I would love to see a Whole Foods out here too. That is the only place I can get TRUE purple sweet potatoes--the ones that are purple on the outside AND on the inside. HEB has them but they are only purple on the outside and white on the inside.

YES I am really hoping that it opens before Christmas. I love all of their seasonal Christmas items. If not my friend and I will have to drive to the one in Houston. Yes, that picture from Facebook is the one my friend took .

Bloom : My stop was impromptu, as I was coming out of a doc's appt. I use my car for markets so I emptied it and took everything out. I'm putting a reminder to put a bag in the glove box or someplace in the car 😁. Oh, a quarter would be nice too 😆

Lol yes definitely keep a quarter on hand otherwise you're running through the store trying to juggle everything. Been there done that before.
