MaileGirl : YES and one the reasons I like TJ is because they do have healthier products, but if you read the labels most of those products come from other countries, France, Italy, Greece, Canada, Belgium---countries who don't add all the bad crap in their foods that we do here in the US.
Cbear : Yes, but TJ's was voted one of the cheapest grocery stores in the nation a couple of years ago. And they practice healthy alternatives when preparing their meals, no preservatives, dyes, etc. as much as possible. So worth it! I've been emailing them for a good year to open up a store closer to me. I'm a transplant from California and TJ's is everywhere there.

DixieDee Cbear : I like a lot of their items. The cookies are mostly from Belgium and Germany. Some are from Italy so they have good ingredients in them (like butter instead of palm oil). As a baker I always prefer butter to any seed oil.

Cbear : I am so excited. It has been back and forth on if they were opening or not. A few weeks ago I went to the one in Houston and the manager confirmed the KW one WAS going to open (I had gone to the same location a few months prior and was told, there was a good chance it would not open) so it was back and forth. When my friend snapped this picture I was so excited!

Cbear : I mean even if you are not a Trader Joe's fan, at least it provides some competition to the area and will help keep the traffic down some of the other grocery stores. Kingwood is too big to really only have 2 main grocery stores--HEB and Kroger.
Cbear : But that is one of the way they keep their costs down. At least they do provide paper bags for your groceries unlike Aldi LOL

Weathergirl5 : I love the idea that we are getting a Sprouts and TJ's. I find Kroger prices too high. I like my little smallmart since it is just me.
Weathergirl5 : SO EXCITED!!!!! I saw a post on FB with this picture and was so happy! I told my husband that unless I see actual proof of a sign posted, I wouldn't believe it. Hope they open before the holidays. I want to get their danish cookies because they're sooooo good and only sold during that time.
that will be good. i hate going to the one in the woodlands. but this one will probably be a pain to get to since it is in kingwood. i wish they would put one near valley ranch
