A 15 year old is currently in custody after leading police on a chase in a four wheeler on the Eastex freeway.

The chase started near Humble High School, after the four wheeler driver allegedly refused to pull over for a police office. The chase ended at the tractor supply near the intersection of US 59 and FM 1314 where the 15 year old was taken into custody.

ABC13 reported the chase took several hours, and that the district attorney's juvenile division will handle the case from this point forward.

We have underage kids riding on four wheelers in my wooded subdivision from time to time. They usually drive recklessly, and tend to have another child riding behind them. We have deer that sometimes jump into the road without warning. I fail to understand why parents would allow underage kids to operate vehicles that are known to be dangerous, even for adults.
