Splendora CIU K-9 Unit Pulls Over Driver with Multiple Felony Arrests
A couple days ago a Splendora Criminal Interdiction K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 59 near FM 2090 for a traffic violation. During the investigation, officers learned that the driver was no stranger with Law Enforcement.
The driver showed to have numerous felony arrests, has been to prison 4 times, and was currently on parole out of Harris County for a felony offense. The driver refused consent for officers to search his vehicle, and K9 “Kilo” was deployed. K9 “Kilo” alerted on the vehicle multiples times. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, the driver was found to be in possession of approximately 130 grams of Methamphetamine.
Due to the drivers history and repeat offenses the driver was placed in custody for Possession of Controlled Substance. The driver was also given a bond of $750,000 bond by the Montgomery County District Attorneys Office.
