Walmart,(Sam's) are contracted to our government . So if this is happening country wide they are expecting something big to happen this is a big RED FLAG!

How about a Bed Bath and Beyond or Kohls, since they both closed in Humble and doesn't look like they are going to reopen !

@HarleyRider We don’t need another Wal-Mart. We have too many now.

@dcaent82 Bed, Bath, and Beyond are in financial trouble. I don’t see them as a viable candidate unfortunately. The 20% coupon being used even when it has expired has taken its toll on their bottom line. They have attempted to restructure their coupons with time limits and less discount the loner you wait, but I think the damage is done. 😔

@Graber I agree also if I was a Walmart or Sam's employee I would be looking for another job, because if they would do that once they will do it again .Would not trust them at all.

Please PLEASE PLEASE get an HEB. I would shop there in such a heart beat instead of all the other stores.
A great liquor store, or maybe Target and Kohl's could move to VRTC--just a thought. Nothing in that area flooded, so it's safe to know your business would not be harmed that way. Main Event could switch Emoticon

@sanlynet Not going to get an HEB IN VR. You'll get one elsewhere in New Caney, but not IN VR.

@sanlynet Also, you won't get a liquor store because New Caney is a Dry Town, so it would have to pass by vote, which they did in 2017 and failed.

I am relatively new to the area and I have been to HEB and Kroger and I can’t figure out what the big deal is about HEB. I’m not seeing where HEB is any better than Kroger. Please enlighten me.

@clint961 Same here....we used to live in Atascocita, next to both HEB and Kroger and preferred Kroger over HEB. To each their own I guess.

@clint961 Depends on what you're looking for. I find HEB has a better meat department and much better prices, but Kroger is the only one of the big three (HEB, Kroger, Randall's) that carries my peanut butter.
