Roman Forest Police Department New Year morning arrest!
Driver, Amos Barragan, 20, of Houston, was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Evading Arrest w/Vehicle.
Passenger, Evan Alvarado-Beltran, 17, of Spring, was arrested for Evading Arrest. Roman Forest Police were taking a vehicle theft report in Tavola and had just entered the vehicle information into the system when the vehicle was located in Harris County. Law enforcement pursued the vehicle back into Montgomery County, which crashed in Porter. Roman Forest Police then made the arrest of the driver and the passenger. Investigators are looking into video posted on social media in Tavola from a day prior for a connection. This particular type M.O. is seeking crimes of opportunity. The actor would drive/walk around looking for unlocked vehicles to take things and if keys are found in the vehicle, they take the entire vehicle. PLEASE LOCK YOUR VEHICLES….. Good job Officer Rippe and all assisting officers and agencies.
