Roman Forest Police Apprehend Drunk Driver After Pursuit
Roman Forest Police Department On December 22, 2024, Sgt. Jeff Campbell and Officer Darius Newsome responded to reports of a possible drunk driver at the intersection of 59 and Roman Forest Blvd. The driver allegedly collided with a retaining wall and continued driving. Officers were able to catch up to the driver, and after a brief pursuit, the vehicle came to a stop. Thank you, DPS, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, and Montgomery County Pct. 4 and 5 Constable’s office for the assistance.
The driver, 29-year-old Luis Chavez-Pineda from Spring, was arrested for Felony Evading in a Motor Vehicle and for his second Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) offense. Please drink responsibly and don’t drink and drive.

Sweetie : The thing is ...he probably didn't feel much of the impact so he just kept going! Scary! Imagine if it wasn't a wall he hit but another vehicle!!!
