Pranks gone bad! I kind of feel sorry for these kids, but they really should know that the prank was a risky one...

botanylover : Yikes... I hope they learned their lesson, but also to show anyone who thinks about pulling such a prank that this is no laughing matter.

botanylover : In today's world, pranks can easily turn out to not be fun. That had to be scary for everyone on campus. When the unexpected happens, school staff has to treat anything as a threat.

garfieldgurl : No, they will feel the repercussions of this for a long time!

Bloom : I guess it's just sad that the world has come to this. We so afraid - and for good reason. I just remember my dad talking about putting cherry bombs in the toilets at his school, or my BIL putting a dead skunk in the school's air intake. Teens are known to be pranksters. It's just sad that they can't do something non-destructive without the world coming unglued. I get it, but it's still sad.

botanylover : I think they overcharge these kids charging them with a felony. People that steal catalytic converter's or trucks or rob area stores they get misdemeanors. Yeah what they did was bad it was wrong but you don't overcharge kids it's high school pranks

Bloom : . I agree, Bloom 100%. Because of all that HAS been happening around us lately. the school staff HAS to treat anything out of the ordinary as a threat.

Got to be careful with the pranks. I saw one online this week where 2 younger guys where pretending to pour gas on cars in parking lots at a grocery store and someone pulled a gun on them. If he shot them I wouldn't blame him one bit as they were risking his property, life, and others. There is a difference in a prank and these tik tok fame chasing clowns

Sweetie : Seems like it to me too. They need to make them feel pain so they learn a lesson, but not over punish.

botanylover : I agree. I think they should be punished even given probation. But I don't think they need a felony on their record at their age. I think it should just be a misdemeanor

Sweetie : I agree.

It probably got bumped up to a felony because some of the kids got nauseous and had headaches and had to go to the hospital. Sounded like that put them in the category of chemical weapon.

botanylover : . Before pulling a prank, they should have checked out what the results could be and how it will affect other people, physically and/or mentally. Also, what repercussions it can bring.

FeistyGranny : Hmmm.... I'm not sure that teenagers are able to foresee repercussions. I'm not sure they think at all sometimes. But I will have to say that, if there are no mitigating circumstances (and we never know until everything is released), I'm sure they'll get off without a felony. Kids need to think rationally, but most don't because they are just "kids"! Wait until the full facts are released, then we can see what actually happened. That's what will tell the tale.

FeistyGranny : Yeah, just guessing that anyone pulling a prank with something with the word "fart" in it probably didn't do that! 🙃
