From Constable Kenneth “Rowdy†Hayden, Pct. 4 Constable, Montgomery County, TX MEDIA RELEASE
For Immediate Release – 1/22/24 Porter Traffic Stop Leads Guns, Drugs, and Felony Arrests Constable Kenneth “Rowdy†Hayden's Office in Montgomery County Pct. 4 has once again demonstrated exceptional law enforcement diligence, resulting in the arrest of three felons, as well as removed guns and drugs from the streets. On the evening of January 20, 2024, at approximately 10:55 PM, a Deputy from Precinct 4 was conducting routine patrols in Porter, TX. The Deputy stopped a vehicle on US Highway 59 near FM 1314 due to an equipment violation. Upon contacting the occupants of the vehicle, the Deputy recognized the driver, who was known to have an active felony warrant. The driver, Rafael Smith (46, from Houston, TX), was confirmed to be wanted for a parole violation by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. The two passengers, Brent Bachmann (33, from Spring, TX) and Drew Camp (33, from Waco, TX), were also discovered to have active warrants. Bachmann was wanted for evading arrest in Harris County, TX, and Camp had a parole violation warrant. A subsequent search of the vehicle, aided by Pct. 4 K9 “Vinny,†led to the discovery of two semi-automatic handguns and crystal methamphetamine. Smith and Camp, both convicted felons, were charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon by a felon. Additionally, they were charged with felony manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance. Bachmann was arrested on his outstanding warrant. All three individuals were transported to the Montgomery County Jail. These arrestees are known for theft, drug possession and distribution, violent crimes, as well as fleeing from law enforcement. Their decision to commit crimes in Montgomery County, a place they do not reside in, has now led to serious legal repercussions. Constable Hayden stated, “Our team's commitment to proactive policing has once again proven effective in keeping our community safe. This shows our Deputy's dedication and compassion in enforcing the law and protecting the public. We will continue to ensure that Montgomery County is not a haven for criminal activities." **ALL ARRESTS & PHOTOS ARE PUBLIC INFORMATION. ALL SUBJECTS ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY*

Thanks, Pct. 4 for your diligence in catching these guys! Special thanks to 'Vinny' - he's a true asset to the team.
Great job officer and Vinny. So glad they got them off the street. Hopefully they go back to prison and stay there for a while.
