Police Pursuits in East Montgomery County Lead to Arrests 
From Splendora Police Department: What an eventful day in East Montgomery County! Two hot pursuits had us all on the edge of our seats, but thanks to the quick thinking and coordinated efforts of law enforcement, all suspects are now in custody. From an armed robbery to a daring escape attempt, it was like something out of a movie! Huge shoutout to the brave men and women who work tirelessly to keep our community safe. Incident#1
A call came in to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office regarding an Armed Robbery at Walgreens on FM 1314. The deputy at the scene broadcasted the description of the suspect’s vehicle, which was seen heading North on Interstate 69! Splendora Police Department officers and a Deputy from Constable Rowdy Hayden’s office located the vehicle. They attempted to make a felony stop, but the suspect accelerated and a pursuit ensued. The chase went through Cleveland and continued into Polk County, where the suspect finally stopped and both occupants were taken into custody! Multiple charges are pending. Incident #2
Constable Rowdy Hayden’s office was in the process of apprehending a wanted suspect when an individual at the scene ignored deputies’ orders and took off in a vehicle, leading to a pursuit into Splendora. The chase crossed into Liberty County and looped back South, ending in Splendora! Members of Splendora PD and Constable Rowdy Hayden’s Office successfully apprehended the driver. Multiple charges are pending.
