Every time I hear of a LEO's death, my heart aches for the family. I always think of a long-time friend whose kids went to school with my kids. Her oldest became a DPS officer right out of college. That was probably 25 years ago, and she was so proud! But it's a different world today. She prays every day that he comes home to his family at night.
