Major Drug Bust: 132.57 Grams of Ecstasy Seized in Traffic Stop
Splendora police Departments Criminal Interdiction Unit Strikes again!
On 2-10-24 an Officer assigned to the criminal interdiction unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle due to a traffic violation north bound on US HWY 59.
During the traffic stop the Officer had reason to believe criminal activity was taking place.
The officer asked for consent to search the vehicle but was denied.
A Splendora PD K9 was deployed on the vehicle and alerted to the odor of narcotics.
A probable cause search was then conducted on the vehicle and approximately 132.57 grams of ecstasy was located concealed inside of the vehicle.
The driver was placed into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
It was learned during the traffic stop the driver was destined for Wisconsin but of course... he just didn't make it and is being processed into the Montgomery County's Jail.
