Roman Forest Blvd at the Railroad Tracks Closed Both Directions Starting July 5th
MAJOR DETOUR - ROAD CLOSED Roman Forest Blvd at the Railroad tracks will be closed both directions starting July 5th. It could take up to 2 weeks, hopefully less. We suggest taking the Grand Parkway to the Galaxy exit because Via Principale Pkwy and Woodbranch Dr. will be very congested due to the official detours. The speed limit in Tavola is 30 MPH; Woodbranch is 25 MPH. Both will be strictly enforced. You won’t need to stop either direction at Loop 494 on the west side of the tracks on Via Principale Pkwy and we plan to have an officer at Gran Roble Dr during peak times to assist with the stop sign there. Both of these detours will be congested so we do suggest taking Galaxy Blvd / Grand Parkway during peak times if you live in Roman Forest or off of Galaxy.

@TownHubAdmin : Wow- that will inconvenience some folks, for sure. Hope the work is finished in a timely manner and not drug out into years like some projects we've seen in the area.
@TownHubAdmin , the Caney Creek bridge at Loop 494 is still closed, so that stop sign at Via Principale is useless. Rather than post a cop at that "intersection," why don't they just remove the stop sign. They can put it back when the bridge finally opens.
Oops, I just re-read the options. Looks like they do plan to temporarily remove that stop sign. Great minds and all that... On that topic, does anybody know when the Caney Creek Bridge will reopen? TXDOT site still says projected completion: April 6, 2023.

Wow we're going to be experiencing some of that in Kingwood. Good luck to you in Porter
Our friends live in RF and I think they're going to hate this.
