Man Sentenced To 50 Years For Continuous Sexual Abuse Of A Child

May 17, 2023, witnessed a significant legal victory for a survivor of child sexual abuse. Armando Ramirez, aged
36, was found guilty of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child by a Montgomery County jury. The presiding Judge,
Kathleen Hamilton of the 359th District Court, announced a 50-year prison sentence for Ramirez on May 18,
2023. Given the nature of the conviction, Ramirez is ineligible for parole.

Ramirez was accused of sexually abusing a female minor repeatedly from 2012 through 2020, the abuse
commencing when the child was merely five years old. A medical practitioner in Texas was alerted to the
situation when the child came forward, triggering the investigation into Ramirez. A year after his arrest and just
days past the survivor's 16th birthday, Ramirez was brought to trial, culminating in his conviction.

The jury had the daunting task of listening to the emotional testimony of the survivor, detailing multiple instances
of sexual abuse by Ramirez in Killeen, Texas, as well as in Cut and Shoot, Texas. The court also heard from the
survivor's family, law enforcement representatives, and the forensic interviewer.

During the trial’s sentencing phase, Assistant District Attorneys Lianne Baldridge and Wes LeRouax urged Judge
Hamilton to acknowledge the lasting effects this abuse has imparted on the survivor and to recognize Ramirez's
failure to assume responsibility for his actions.

Detective Shelby Yow from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigated this important case. Children's
Safe Harbor, the local Child Advocacy Center, played a crucial role in furnishing critical evidence and providing
indispensable support to achieve justice for the survivor.

@garfieldgurl : So sad to think that a child went through that! You know she is scarred for life.

@Sweetie : . Trump wants to bring into law that molesting children, treason, and killing a law enforcement officer are automatic death penalties. I agree. You put those people in prison and we feed them, house them given, them free medical care, etc, etc. They are treated better than our veterans and our homeless.

Not enough time and he should be castrated. Anyone who sexually abuses a child should know that if they want that couple minutes of satisfaction, they should pay the ultimate penalty.

@Kacey82 : You are so right on that. The laws have changed so much just since JFK was president. These perverts know that all they will get is a slap on the wrist and that's about all. So they just go and do what they want to do. Laws are meant to be enforced, and that is not being done. When Trump gets back in the laws will be reinstated. We need to clean out some of our own local law enforcement and get them replaced with ones who'll do the job.

What an awful and selfish man to satisfy his own needs at the expense of damaging a child. Poor kid. She will carry that damage for many years. At least she can see that he is convicted and that somebody felt what he did was wrong and cared enough about her to convict him. Too many times those just get away with it and leave a damaged kid. I am glad there were people who listened to her and who made the effort to try to do something about it. I hope nobody is stupid enough to let that guy out and back on the street as those usually will do it again.
Good job prosecutors, sheriff's, jury, judge, etc. Keep **** like that off the streets.
