Splendora Police Department Pull Over Driver for his Suspected 7th DWI

Loading Image...

Splendora Police conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 59 near FM 2090 for failing to maintain a single marked lane. Upon making contact with the driver, the officer detected an odor of alcohol emitting from the vehicle. After a roadside investigation, the driver was found to be too impaired to operate a motor vehicle. It was also learned the driver had six (6) prior DWI charges.

The driver is being booked into the Montgomery County Jail on his 7th DWI.

@TownHubAdmin : Thank you, officers, for getting him off the streets before he injured or killed an innocent person.

@Bloom : Some people are slow learners.
Drink or drive, not both at the same time.

How many DWIs do you get before they put you in jail for a year or two? Or do they just wait until you kill someone

My goodness! Why has he been allowed to keep driving??? He should be banned from getting a license again. Thank goodness for the officers that got him. A life could've been lost.

Alcoholic's don't think rational. Jail does nothing if it didn't snap them after the first or even second time . Serious treatment and a strong will needed.

@garfieldgurl : Right. It didn't say if he had a suspended license. And surely he has no insurance. There's no way any insurance is going to insure someone that's had seven DWIs

Why the heck are they still allowed to get out of jail when they have had prior offenses. It's supposed to be 3 strikes and your out. Unfortunately, it should be 2 and on the 2nd it's jail time. Instead, they get out over and over again to kill people, maim people and they get away with it. You know after at least the 3rd offense, they lose their drivers license... or is that for us that obey the law for lesser offenses. GEZZZZZ

@Kacey82 : Do you know how drunks are they'll drive without insurance and they drive without their drivers license they just don't care and because they don't care they belong in jail. They've got to put them in jail to protect the good people
