So many stores going up!

@TownHubAdmin : Nice to get that area back into play! I bet Valvoline, Taco Bell, and the others in that area are happy. Still too bad they shut the Sam's before even giving it a chance. I'd have joined if that was still there. Costco for me instead tho!

I wonder if that would take away customers from Spec's in Porter. I'm with you @jjjj. I wish it was a Costco 😁

@garfieldgurl : Will be interesting to see how stock and prices compare. I'd been looking forward to the Porter Spec's, but then was disappointed. The Kingwood one has an imported/fancy food section that used to be a nice resource before grocery stores started stocking better chocolate and such. Alas, the Porter one does not have that section, or at least didn't soon after they opened. Haven't been back in to check since.

@jjjj : That Specs has been vandalized a couple of times now. I don't think that's a good area, so I'm guessing people would rather go to a different store for their alcohol. But who knows how prices are, like you mentioned.

@Weathergirl5 : Lol! We've talked about it 😄. I haven't been to one here in Houston, which means, I haven't gone to one for almost 5 years. My hubs has gone to one a few times because it was close to one of the sites he had to work on (IT stuff).

@garfieldgurl : wow, did not know that! That parking lot's always been rather annoying, but it's not as bad now as when the building was Kroger and lot was configured differently and packed. Never thought of it as a not-good area; I've been to Harbor Freight a few times but only the Spec's the disappointing once. I'm at the nearby Walmart and Tractor Supply plenty with no problems.

@jjjj : We personally haven't had any issues, except that hit and run at Home Depot last year. But we assumed Spec's got vandalized because we saw plywood over the doors and a window next to the door on more than one occasion.

@garfieldgurl : I thought I remember we had talked about it but couldn't remember your opinion on it. Most people I know like Trader Joe's but there's a few outliers who for some reason don't. I just like having the variety of different places too.
