@Bloom : There was a heads-up post on a neighborhood site (letting us non-parents know about the upcoming traffic changes) that said bus pickups as early as 5:30. Oof!!!

@jjjj : Wow - those poor kids! It will be dark pretty much year round. That seems like a huge safety concern to me.

Does anyone know WHY NCISD is having such early start times? Have they gone to a 4 day week?

@jjjj : That's ridiculous. There has been studies that show kids don't do well in school when they have to get up that early. The parents should hold a meeting and find out why it's being held that early. And they need to see if they can get the times change for next semester that is totally too early

@Bloom : No clue - I live near a school so deal with the traffic (but not the arrival traffic!), but no kids. @Sweetie (or @anyone) what time does Humble ISD start this year? It was 7:35 a few decades ago, which was way too early already. And that was before all the research about how counterproductive the early start was for teens.
