@TownHubAdmin : IT is brutal outside. Stay hydrated if you need to be out in this heat and take frequent breaks (preferably indoors with AC). Stay safe friends.

@Weathergirl5 : It's a killer when the sun hits the rash.

@Weathergirl5 : Even just being outside but not in direct sunlight, it gets inflamed.

I feel so sorry for the poor pup across the street in this heat. Sometimes, the pup tumbles the water container and has no water for a long time. They do get to it eventually, so it wouldn't make a difference if I call animal control because the pup's owners would have water by the time anyone comes to check. Some people argue that dogs that are outside are used to the hot weather and that we shouldn't make a big deal out of it. But as a dog person (or animal lover in general), I think that's just cruel.

@Cbear : Yes, pretty much anytime I sweat it gets irritated and inflamed. I hope yours is getting better with each passing day.

@garfieldgurl : I would call animal control. My thought is....if you are hot, they are hot.

@Weathergirl5 : You too. Mine is getting better. Steroid cream twice a day and TONS of moisturizer!

It has been a really hot string of days here. I did love my sweat yesterday from my run and I'm planning on getting out there today in an hour or 2 to run again.

@Cbear : I can't do the steroid cream right now because it interferes with healing.

@garfieldgurl : If it's too hot for the owner to be outside all day it's too hot for that dog to be outside all day. I think there's a limited amount of time now that a dog can be outside during the day. A new bill had passed I'll try to look into it tomorrow

I'll contact animal control but based on past experience, nothing might not be done. They've been out there at least 3 times and those people still have the dog.
