Cyclists - Register Now For The 4th Annual Cleveland Rock-N-Ride!Calling all cyclists! Registration has opened for the 4th annual Cleveland Rock-N-Ride, an annual bike ride which is hosted by the Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce. Riders have the opportunity to enjoy riding through the beautiful Sam Houston National Forest, and choose from 2 routes. “The 2020 event hosted over 120 riders and family spectators, it was a beautiful day with perfect temperature and we could not have had a more perfect event”, said Camille Landry of FullScope Pest Control, Rock-N-Ride chairperson. With 2 separate routes available the Cleveland Rock-N-Ride appeals to a large group of cyclists, from beginner, immediate and advanced endurance riders. Event begins in downtown Cleveland, Texas at 7 am on Nov. 13. Early registration is $45 per rider. After Sunday, Oct. 24, the fee will be $50 per rider. Cyclists can sign up as a team or as individuals and the event will be limited to the first 300 people who sign up. Riders can also register the day of the event at 6 am, on the block of E. Crockett Street.
Cyclists are provided a light breakfast of fruit, kolaches, and drinks prior to the ride kick off, as well as event shirts and swag bags. Route guidance with local law enforcement officers and members of local motorcycle clubs will be providing riders safe escorts through the forest. We have added additional escorts and SAG vehicles this year to ensure our riders only worry about the ride, not their safety. Throughout the route, rest stops offer riders, rest and refreshments as well as first aid. The end of the route riders are met with cheering fans, refreshments, medals and entertainment. Anne Vickery and Associates Realty is one of the event sponsors, though more sponsors are being sought. These sponsorships range in price from $250 to $3,200. Volunteers also are needed.
