Hurricane Laura Lake Houston Area Update
Hurricane Laura remains mostly a wind event for the Lake Houston Area, please secure all outdoor furniture, shoreline property, and make preparations to shelter in place this evening.
Lake Houston has been successfully lowered over night 8/26/2020 to approximately 41 feet which is 1.5 feet below normal pool. The forecast remains at 2 - 4 inches of rain across the Lake Houston Watershed. To monitor Lake Houston levels visit

Lake Conroe's level is still down 1.5 feet and is not going to be lowered at this time. Montgomery County and our partners to the north are not expecting a large rain. The San Jacinto River Authority is in communication with the City of Houston should anything change.
