New Caney ISD Chromebook and Wifi Spot Information

"We are excited to continue our 1:1 device program this year for all students. Due to the current COVID pandemic, our distribution process has changed, however, our rigorous cleaning and the sanitizing process has not. All devices have been sanitized as well as the bags the secondary students will receive.
Chromebook Distribution 2020-21
In an effort to limit large gatherings we have moved to an appointment-based pick-up. Any student that needs a Chromebook or laptop for this school year will need to schedule an appointment.
Devices will be distributed from the Technology Building located at:

Appointments are available Monday-Friday. Call our Help Desk at 281-577-2973 to schedule your appointment.
On the day of your appointment, please:
-Remain in your vehicle. One of our technicians will come out to help you.
-Bring a student ID, student driver's license, or parent driver's license for verification. Devices will not be issued without this verification process.
-If you currently have a Chromebook that needs to be repaired, please call our Help Desk at 281-577-2973 to schedule an appointment for repair.
Parking Lot Wi-Fi
NCISD is providing Wi-Fi Internet access for student Chromebooks at several school parking lots. Please remain in your cars to practice social distancing. Parking lot Wi-Fi access is available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Bus Wi-Fi
NCISD is providing air-conditioned bus Wi-Fi Internet access for student Chromebooks at several locations in the community and at certain school parking lots. Bus Wi-Fi will be available from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. New Caney ISD staff will be present at the bus locations. Please understand the following protocols:
No more than one student per seat will be allowed on the bus.
Parents who accompany students on the bus must sit in the same seat with their student.
Anyone who gets on a bus must wear a mask.
Please use hand sanitizer before going into a bus. Hand sanitizer will be available.
Bus seats will be cleaned after each occupant leaves and before the next person occupies the seat.
Each bus will be fully cleaned and sanitized every day.
