Montgomery County Burn Ban

Montgomery County Commissioner's Court has approved a Burn Ban for unincorporated areas of Montgomery County.

The National Weather Service predicts that the Houston area may see sporadic rainfall today and tomorrow, before high pressure settles back in over the region bringing us hot, dry conditions through the weekend.

Here is the burn ban announcement for Roman Forest...

"Roman Forest Mayor Chris Parr issued a burn ban for the City of Roman Forest following the recommendation by the Fire Marshal. Weather conditions have created a public safety hazard by outdoor burning. The ban is for 90 days unless the order is canceled by the Mayor..." www.facebook.com/Rom anForestPD/

Is this burn ban only for Roman Forest?

"Montgomery County Commissioner's Court has approved a Burn Ban for unincorporated areas of Montgomery County." Roman Forest is an incorporated area, so it wouldn't be covered by the county ban. That's why the Mayor issued a separate burn ban for Roman Forest. Most of eastern Montgomery County (ie: New Caney, Porter, Patton Village, etc. are unincorporated areas and are affected by the county ban.
