The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is hoping you can help them identify this male theft suspect.
According to reports from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, on July 4, 2019, at about 1:45 PM, Deputies were dispatched to Wal-Mart located at 20310 US Highway 59 New Caney, Texas in reference to a theft.
When Deputies arrived, they were notified by management that on July 1, 2019, the male suspect pictured entered the store and walked to the electronics section and selected several items. The suspect then approached the register with various items totaling about $1,400. The suspect handed the cashier money and let him count it before picking it back up. The suspect acted as if he was recounting the cash and asked the cashier to calculate it on his phone as a distraction. When the employee took his phone out, the suspect folded some of the cash in his hand and pocketed it while the employee was distracted. Wal-Mart stated the total loss was about $690. Wal-Mart management advised the suspect has used this same tactic at several different Wal-Mart's in the Houston area.
