The check represents the total amount of money awarded to NCISD over the past 11 years. The district received $36,000 in rebates for 2018. The energy program has a cost avoidance amount and rebate checks totaling $6,894,000. The district's energy usage has been reduced by 21.5% when compared to the year before the energy program began.

Paul Batchelder, NCISD Director of Facilities and Energy Management, received the check from Entergy representatives at the meeting.

@KingsKid, you had a choice? It's nice that Entergy supports the community, but somewhat disingenuous to present an uncashable check that covers donations for 11 past years.
