Propane Storage- Cuttler Road. You know that no-tell motel that is shut down on 59/69 (east side of highway)? It is just south of the post office. In behind it runs Cuttler Road.- you know it- it is the back yard of the recycle place on 59. WOW drove down that Cuttler Road today. They have thrown in about a billion (more or less) truckloads of dirt and built some type of HUGE storage tanks- which you cannot see from the street since it/they are covered by loads and loads of dirt.

I asked a truck driver what was being built and he told me he thought it was water storage. The "in" in New Caney told me it was Entex (Centerpoint) building propane storage. Folks this isn't Buster Brown size storage, this is like, like, like..... Well let's put it this way: if Buster Brown were the peewee league, this storage is like the superbowl. More photos below.

This is not a retail type place. I believe that there will be a spur connection to the railroad tracks to bring in the propane. I could be wrong, but they ran pipe down Cuttler Road.

I wonder if this has anything to do with all the pipe they've been running parallel to the railroad tracks on 494 by the high school going north.

@WillyGeeTX : You know these days they put a lot of underground stormwater drainage tanks in. many shopping centers that don't want to give up space for a big retention pond will put in underground storage tanks for stormwater this could be part of the Grand parkway project or it could be part of another project. I don't know that that is what this is but it is possible.

I agree DDobson. In the case that it is water then the dirt thrown up around it would have come from the hole itself. A possibility in any case. Thanks for your input- consistent with what the truck driver told me.

NewCaney.com will get to the bottom of it. Great administrators and great user community.
