On August 23, 2017, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Wal-Mart located in New Caney in reference to a theft. Deputies arrived and learned that on August 8, 2017, an unknown white male and female used an infant child to steal a Samsung Galaxy Smart Watch from the electronics department. Surveillance video shows the unknown male disconnect the security lanyard from the Samsung Watch at which time he had his infant daughter grab the watch. The male is then seen placing the watch into the female’s purse while she is distracting the electronics section employees.
