That long wait for our very own Walmart store is finally over! The grand opening ceremony for the new Wal-Mart Supercenter in New Caney began at 7:30 this morning (7/19/17)...The doors opened to customers at 8:00. New Caney’s new 24/7 Walmart brought 300 new jobs to the area and a broad assortment of fresh groceries and general merchandise at everyday low prices. The store features a state-of-the-art electronics department, fuel station, Walmart Pickup and a drive-thru pharmacy. Customers can also expect to see local produce such as corn and strawberries as well as fresh tortillas made in store.

“This new store is very exciting for this developing part of town,” said Store Manager JR Galicia. “We are proud of our Walmart and can’t wait for customers to come in and check it out.”Associates will provide a continued celebration this Saturday, July 22 (11-6) and Sunday, July 23 (12-6). Residents are invited to A Big Family Welcome celebration. This will give customers a chance to meet Galicia and enjoy fun family activities and free food samples while supplies last.
