Lufkin Man Arrested With Drugs In New Caney
PCT 4 was able to keep a sizable amount of cocaine out of East Montgomery County over the weekend.
On 5/20/2017, around 1pm, a PCT 4 Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 59 north near FM 1485 in New Caney. While conducting an investigation, the deputy located approximately 200 grams (7 ounces) of cocaine that was packaged in two separate vacuum sealed clear plastic bags.
David Hernandez (26, Lufkin) was placed in custody for the 1st degree felony – Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Hernandez is currently in the Montgomery County Jail with a $100,000 bond.
Constable Hayden thanked the deputy for his hard work and proactive patrol, crediting him for taking a large amount of narcotics off of the roadways that was possibly destined for neighborhoods not too far from the Montgomery County Precinct 4 area.
