PCT 4 Nabs Thieves In New Caney
The
PCT 4 Constables Office was able to take some thieves and meth off the streets late Wednesday night.
During a proactive patrol operation, Pct. 4 deputies located 2 males coming from what looked to be an abandoned residence on Sullivan Rd in New Caney. The males were identified as Howard Ferguson III (33, New Caney) and Don Tennis Jr. (39 New Caney).
An investigation found that the two males entered the property by cutting a lock on the entrance gate, cutting water lines attached to a water heater inside the garage, then draining the water heater. The investigation also showed Ferguson to be in possession of methamphetamine. Deputies were able to attain a confession from both subjects. They advised deputies they planned to cut and remove the water heater and other items from inside the residence, then scrap the items for cash at a later time.
Both subject were arrested for Felony Burglary of a Habitation and Ferguson got the bonus charge for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.
“Property crimes and drug use and abuse go hand in hand," said Constable Hayden. "I’m proud of my deputies for being proactive and spotting this crime in progress.”
