New Caney Woman Shot, Suspect Later Found Dead After Multi-City Shooting SpreeA 52-year-old woman is recovering after being shot yesterday morning, September 4th, in the 2300 block of Thelma Lane in New Caney, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. Deputies were called to the scene around 9:19 AM and identified the suspect as 50-year-old Pedro Gonzales, who allegedly fled in a gray heavy-duty truck. The woman was taken to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition.Investigators said Gonzales was later linked to two additional shootings, including one involving his ex-wife in Pasadena and another male victim near a Burger King on Kress Road in Houston. Authorities said all three victims were known to Gonzales and are expected to survive. The search ended near Gaines Street in Houston, where Gonzales was found deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.MCSO Major Crimes Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators coordinated with Houston Police, Pasadena Police and other agencies as the multi-jurisdictional investigation unfolded.
