New Caney Man Shows Up to Court— Gets Arrested for DWIJesus Saavedra-Chavez, 48, of New Caney, was arrested for Felony Driving While Intoxicated (3rd DWI) while attending traffic court in Roman Forest. During check-in, the Court Bailiff detected a strong odor of alcohol and alerted a patrol officer, who had seen Saavedra-Chavez drive into the court parking lot. Following a DWI investigation, Saavedra-Chavez was taken into custody inside the courthouse. Field testing showed his blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit.
