A former Eagle set a new pole vault record earlier this month during a meet at Texas A&M. via www.facebook.com/new caneyisd/Nastassja Campbell, a 2018 New Caney HS graduate and current freshman at Sam Houston State University, set a record in the pole vault at the Ted Nelson Invitational at Texas A&M on January 12. She vaulted 4.39 meters (14 feet, 4 ¾ inches). That mark was recognized this week by USA Track & Field as the American Junior (U-20) pole vault record. Congratulations Nastassja!
