Montgomery County Authorities Hunt Organized Burglary Suspect

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating Jose Ignacio Venegas Nieto, a 35-year-old man wanted on active warrants.
According to investigators, Nieto has two warrants for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and is considered a person of interest in more than 15 high-end burglary of habitation cases targeting gated communities across Montgomery County.
Authorities say Nieto may also use the alias Fernando Rodriguez and has a tattoo on his left forearm with the name “Lilian.”
Investigators believe he may be operating as part of an international organized crime ring connected to a series of burglaries across the United States, with more recent cases reported in Southeast Texas and surrounding areas.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is working with local, state, and federal partners as the investigation continues.
Officials say if you see Nieto, call 911 immediately and do not approach him.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the MCSO Property Crimes Division at 281-297-6540 and reference Case #24A312239, 25A033931, or 25A356385.
