Are those pivot tables for politicians to allow them to easily pivot away from touchy issues and back to their talking points?I did use Excel back in the olden days. Now, a single-page spreadsheet can handle all my calculating needs. (And this cheapskate has switched to LibreOffice software.)

@otto : I love Excel and taught myself pivot tables during my employment at the National MS Society. They can be extremely helpful when working with large data sets. I can use Excel for just about anything, and do!
